THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES
THE UNIVERSAL NAVIGATION MAP PROGRAM, VORs OF THE MAIN COUNTRIES AND
DOCUMENTATION.

This package includes all the necessary
material to display a NAVIGATION MAP on every aircraft panel for FSX
®. The size of the map allows to read EASILY the codes of the
navaids. It can display the map from 10 to 640 miles, PLAN or
MAP oriented with many information concerning the airports: altitude,
runways, etc... It also allows to DISPLAY the VOR, ILS and
AIRPORTS codes. It contains the software itself and the present
documentation about HOW TO USE IT. The package
includes also the VORs map for the whole world.
All
the VORs map in .jpg format are in the folder .../Microsoft Flight
Simulator X/Gauges/JSG-NvigationMap/JSGPanels NAVIGATION MAP Documentation/
The package contains also some lists of the
main VOR or LOC or ILS of many countries. These lists are
not exhaustive and will be updated in future versions.
This product is designed to be used with FULL SCREEN
and at least 1024x768 definition. Any other lower definition may alter the
pictures.
2 –INSTALLATION summary of
the document
The UNIVERSAL NAVIGATION
MAP PACKAGE is installed in the default BOEING 737-400 and in the C172
as exemples. Make a backup copy of your own files
before installing. Some other panel.cfg are attached as exemple about
how to install the software.
To uninstall, go to the WINDOW
START MENU, choose Flight Simulator X and click on the JSGPanels
NAVIGATION MAP Uninstall.
Installation/Uninstallation being
automatic, if you uninstall the product, the uninstallation program will ALSO
uninstall the b737_400\panel.cfg and the C172\panel.cfg.
Make a
backup copy BEFORE you
uninstall.

THE NAVIGATION MAP WINDOW:
Add the following red lines to the panel.cfg of
the aircraft to which you want to add the NAVIGATION MAP.
XX is a number equal to number of the last Window
line + 1.
In the following exemple, XX must be at least 13.

REMARK: you can adjust the NAVIGATION MAP
window size by changing the “windowsize_ratio”. Higher parameter value =
greater window and reverse.
THE NAVIGATION MAP WINDOW SWITCH:
In the Window00 paragraph, add the following
lines:

That’s all. You then can run FSX ®.
At aircraft
initialization the NAVIGATION MAP is displayed. To hide it, click on the
little switch:

At initialization, the NAVIGATION
MAP window is displayed and looks like the following picture:

You can change the NAVIGATION MAP
from HALF SIZE to FULL SCREEN window and reverse by clicking on
the upper left switch.
To search a VOR or NDB
or ILS or AIRPORT code, first click on the switch to display the
keyboard:

Then click on the "SEARCH"
switch to initialize the search and enter the ICAO code of the VOR,
NDB, ILS or Airport you search for. For exemple LON:

or EGLL:

Click on "VALID"
when finished.
The ICAO codes have the
following format:
AIRPORTS: name is a 4 digits for exemple EGLL or KLAX
where first letter(s) is an area code, EG for England, K for USA,
etc...and second ones are the code of the airport; LL for LONDON
HEATHROW, LAX for LOS ANGELES. The name is unique.

VOR and NDB: 3digits generally abreviation
of an airport, city,....
PROBLEM: Some important ones are unique such as LAX,
113,60, but in the world there are generally several radios stations with
the same ICAO code.
REMARK: when displayed on the screen, the area code is
not always present.
When several VOR or NDB
have the same ICAO code, you list these VOR or NDB one by
one.
First enter the ICAO code as described above, then click on NEXT switch. Each VOR or NBD will be displayed one after the other. For exemple code SCT:

The first STG found is
displayed. Then click on NEXT:

The second STG is displayed.
Then click on NEXT until no mor radio station is found. The radio stations
found may be VOR or NDB and there can be more than 10 different
radio stations with the same ICAO code. Click on NEXT until no
more station is found and spaces are displayed.

There are many options to display
information on the map.

on the left to downgrade and on the right to upgarde:

The INT switch diplays/hides
the INTERSECTIONS:

The NDB switch diplays/hides
the NDB STATIONS:

The STA switch diplays/hides
the VOR and ILS STATIONS.

The WPT switch diplays/hides
the WAYPOINTS names if a flightplan is a flightplan is loaded.

The APT switch diplays/hides
the AIRPORTS.

The DATA switch diplays/hides
the information concerning the airports, but ONLY when map size is 10 or
20 nm. With a higher number, the information could not be readable due to the
number of airports and stations.

The TERR switch diplays/hides
the TERRAIN.

The delivered package
package contains the lists of MOST OF THE VOR AND ILS for the following
countries:

BELGIUM NETHERLANDS,

EUROPE MISCELLANEOUS,
FRANCE,
GERMANY,
ITALY,
MEXICO,
SPAIN PORTUGAL,
UNITED KINGDOM IRELAND,
USA,
These lists actually
represents hundreds of VOR and ILS. They are both in EXCEL and
.txt format.
The package contains
also the MORSE code.
These lists are located
in your folder:

A SHORTCUT is
installed on your desk to access to the DOCUMENTATION FOLDER.
Of course these lists
will be updated and FREE OF CHARGE for licensed users.
This
software was designed and tested on a Pentium IV 3.0 GHz machine with 2 Gbytes
memory, with an MSI video card and a Creative Labs sound card and Windows XP ©.
It runs correctly on this machine and there should be no problems with running
it on a more powerful machine but it is possible that it will not run correctly
on a less powerful one and so this cannot be guaranteed.

in the documentation so that you can have a very good idea of what it is and
what it does before purchasing it. As with any software, it cannot be
guaranteed to be bug free but, if you do encounter a problem, we will do our
best to provide a correction as soon as possible. However it is assumed that
anyone using the product will already have sufficient knowledge of both Flight
Simulator FSX ® AND the product to use it intelligently and the author reserves
the right to refuse to enter into correspondence about problems arising from a
lack of basic knowledge in these areas. The pictures presented in this document
are not contractual. These are only exemples.
